There will be the usual beautiful footing and grounds at Brownland Farm, Franklin, TN with plenty of space and plenty of shade.
Lots of good things for everyone:
CTDA is providing lovely prizes and ribbons.
NDPC Ribbons for Ponies sponsored by Flint Ridge Farms.
The show is AQHA recognized.
The Jockey Club is providing beautiful TIP ribbons and awards.
We have three fine judges, “Dolly ‘ Hannon (S-CO), Susan Mandas (S-OH) and Fran Kehr (S-TX). This is a lovely venue for Young Riders and for Young horses. For the first time this year we are offering Materiale Classes on both Saturday and Sunday.
As always, you can enter online www.eqentries.com or on paper.
Closing date is May 14th, so talk it over with your horse, choose your favorite classes and send your entry in.
2015 Show Season Begins!
Let’s put behind us those months that end in “ary” and look forward to some spring weather!
April 4 is the first CTDA schooling show at Walnut Trace. You can access the online entry form by clicking here . Absolute closing date is Saturday, March 28. These shows are very popular and everyone will be ready to get outside so get your entries in early! Once we fill the day, we cannot accept any more entries, even if it is before the closing date.
Then, it’s Spring Fling, our USDF recognized show at Old Hillsboro Manor in Franklin on May 2. It is a one day, one ring show so, again, you will want your entry in early! Prize list can be downloaded by clicking here. The judge is Charlotte Trentelman and she will be conducting an educational symposium the next day on the new 2015 tests. Watch for more news about that!!!!
Get Ready for Show Season!
You can get ready even in this wicked weather by at least putting the dates on your calendar and memorizing your tests. You can even start practicing in the living room (oh you know we’ve all done it!). Things that are new for this year are a schooling show cancellation policy (click here to view) and an increase to 8 volunteer hours required for Year End Awards.

Schooling Show Success
Last weekend’s schooling show at beautiful Travelers Rest Farm was fantastic! Because we had had to cancel the previous show due to rain, this show was overflowing with entries. Judge Lori Hoos graciously agreed to come in for a half day on Sunday so everyone got their rides in. The volunteers were wonderful and even the predicted rain held off for the most part! Here are the results.
