Sherry Pride leaves a lasting legacy with the Central Tennessee Dressage Association through her extraordinary dedication to volunteerism and her deep love of horses.
Many current CTDA members knew Sherry as our kind and knowledgeable Schooling Show Secretary who was always willing to accommodate riders and horses and encouraged everyone to participate in the CTDA Schooling Shows. But she was also a past President of CTDA and an active member for more than 20 years, committing countless hours to our sport.
Starting with a generous donation by long-time friend Bess Bruton and many additional gifts of others who wanted to remember Sherry, CTDA created a Scholarship in Sherry’s honor in 2020. Eligible are CTDA AA, Junior or U13 members who are embarking on their first CTDA Schooling Show season.
Since then we have given out 52 Scholarships of $100 each and you can see some of the recipients to the left or a full list of ScholarshipRecipients here. But we are in need of more funds to continue through 2026 and beyond with a goal of raising $2,500.
