Congratulations to everyone who came out to CTDA’s first schooling show of the year! The April 2nd show at Walnut Trace was a great start to show season.

Spring is in the air and that means show season has arrived!

CTDA is now accepting entries for the Tennessean Express and Tennessean Dressage shows. These are two separate shows, which occur on the same weekend so you can get two shows worth of scores with only one weekend worth of stress.

This year the shows will take place at Brownland Farm.

You can find the complete prize list here!! If you want to print off and submit a paper entry, you will find that at the end of the prize list. If you want to submit your entry online you will be able to sign up on Equestrian Entries  starting April 4.

Ladies and gents, please note:

*The prize list has been updated to include information about the Adult Team Competition that will be hosted at the show. See the prize list for all the details.  
* A team may consist of three or four riders (open and amateur). Mixed level teams are allowed. 
* You may enter as part of a team or as an individual and be added to a team. 
* Each competitor will ride two tests in their division. Riders competing in FEI divisions will only ride one test. 
* Awards will be determined by the average of each team’s total score.

Points earned at CTDA sanctioned schooling shows and CTDA hosted recognized shows will count towards CTDA year end awards points.

Join CTDA on January 24, 2016 at the TN Equine Hospital to celebrate our year end award winners! Reservations are now being accepted.  The party starts at 5:30 with our great Silent Auction and dinner catered by Sal’s Italian. Soft drinks will be available and you may bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your dinner. Award presentations will follow. NO WALK INS. Please make your reservation by January 20. Bring the whole family!

Congratulations to CTDA member Sharon Blandford, who won a USDF award for Best Amateur Photograph. Her winning photo, below, was taken at this year’s Tennessean dressage show at Brownland Farm in Franklin. The grey horse in the foreground is Micki Brase’s Highlite VII ridden by Ashley Gregory. Sharon’s daughter, Emme, is a frequent competitor at CTDA horse shows.
