Members who go above and beyond
Each year we honor certain members who have gone above and beyond in their participation, volunteerism and promotion of our sport. We all know it takes a lot of dedication to be involved in Dressage, or really any type of equestrian sport. But some members take it to the next level (Dressage pun intended). Here are the people from 2018 who deserve a little extra love:
Volunteer of the Year: Kaye Simmons (pictured with Nan Holland)

Participation Award: Beth Huff (with Nan Holland)

The Dee Minault Award: Jen Thompson (with Nan Holland). The Dee Minault Horsemanship Award recognizing the true spirit of horse(wo)manship. The CTDA Dee Minault Horse(wo)man is someone with a comprehensive tool box for the many aspects of horse riding/care/competing, and who spreads the word and shares their knowledge with others. Nominations for this annual award are taken by the membership and voted on by the CTDA board.

Please welcome Lynne Glaus (Communications), Moriah Seibert (Volunteer Coordinator) and Elizabeth Priddy (Schooling Show Coordinator). Thank you so much for volunteering to serve on the Board, CTDA would not be able to put on any shows or educational events if we did not have these special people stepping up!
Our huge gratitude goes to our outgoing President Nan Holland who has put in countless hours at all of our recognized shows (and behind the scenes in between).
Nan is leaving CTDA financially strong and with better documented processes than ever before. Today is Nan’s last Board Meeting and also her Birthday …. congratulations and thanks for all you have done for us !!!!
