MikePat-092007-2The dressage community has lost a friend. Michael Foster passed away on Friday, following a battle with colon cancer.

Michael was well-known in the Middle Tennessee horse community. He was a familiar face at CTDA dressage shows. When he wasn’t showing his own horses, Amarillo and Patriot, he was volunteering or cheering for everyone else. He loved all our horses and always asked about them.

Michael was an active volunteer in CTDA, where he served as vice president and communications chair. He was a talented writer who edited the newsletter, emailed news to members, and managed the website.

Michael’s warmth, kindness, and great smile will be remembered and missed. As Kerstin Moltmann Wilder of Old Hillsboro Manor, said “Michael was a great friend and always supportive with a smile on his face, no matter the challenges he was facing.”

Our deepest sympathies are extended to Michael’s family and especially to his son, Adam.
