The May 2nd Schooling Show at Harlinsdale has been canceled due to continued concerns about the Covid-19 virus.
Now for some GOOD NEWS! Many of us are stuck at home or limiting our visits to the barn these days, but the CTDA rolls on with a new prize-filled challenge to keep you motivated and learning!
We are challenging all CTDA members to earn a USDF University diploma– it’s a FREE USDF member benefit, and you can do it from home.
Earn a diploma between now and October 1, 2020, and you will be entered in a drawing for fabulous prizes!
You need 30 class credits to earn a diploma, and those credits can be earned through the USDF on-line classes. You can also find credited courses from other providers like Dressage Today Online, Pilates for Dressage, and others.
Special thanks to Bethany Gallagher for this fantastic idea! Here’s a link to the USDF University on-line classes:
The CTDA Schooling Show scheduled for April 11th at Walnut Trace has been canceled due to the spread of the COVID19 virus. Entry refunds will be issued through PayPal. While this is certainly a disappointment for us, the safety of our members, volunteers, and venue partners is our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the situation as we enter the show season– all other shows remain on the schedule for now. Please contact any of the CTDA Board Members if you have questions or concerns.
Opening Date for our first schooling show of the year is Mar 11 and the schooling show page, entry forms and overall rules have been updated for 2020. Go here for more information.
This year we will have 3 shows secretaries (Rebecca, Shelley and Katharina), so if you are sending in a paper entry, please make sure to mail it to the correct show secretary for that show. All their names & addresses are listed both on the website and the paper form for your reference. Electronic entry forms will route to them all.
New this year for CTDA members that are showing for the first year with CTDA we have a scholarship of $100 for each Schooling Show in remembrance of Sherry Pride our long time schooling show secretary. Simply let us know that this is your first year showing with CTDA and your name will be added to the hat. More information about this great opportunity can be found here .
Finally CTDA is participating in the new Regional Schooling Show Award that USDF is offering for the first time. We need to collect some additional information (optional) so we can send the results to USDF. If you are interested in participating, please read more here.
The CTDA board is pleased to announce a new Education Grant to promote educational opportunities with reduced costs to our members.
