CTDA offers both recognized and schooling shows for CTDA members and non-members alike.
Recognized Shows are held in June and August and offer classes from Introductory through Grand Prix.
Schooling Shows are held throughout the year and offer an affordable way to test yourself and your horse and get helpful comments from qualified judges who must be USDF “L” graduates as a minimum.
The CTDA Schooling Show Championship is offered in addition to our regular year end awards. All CTDA members are eligible and must have a minimum of 2 scores for the level horse/rider combo from any 2023 CTDA Schooling Shows. The Top 2 scores will be counted and a minimum percentage is required, similar to Regional Championships: Intro/Training 63%. First: 62%. Second 61%. Eventing and Western Dressage: 63%.
The Levels and Divisions were determined by historical schooling show data to account for where the majority of our members show . We have also broken out Intro A/B for those of our members who do not canter yet and will also have two Training Level championships. Note that any Rider/horse combination can show in 2 adjacent levels only!
